Boiler grants are non-repayable. You never have to pay back any money for your boiler.
How Can I Get a Free Boiler?
Your household may qualify for a free or low-cost boiler if:
- You meet the right income-related benefits criteria, including income support, tax credits, JSA or ESA.
- You have an oil, gas or LPG boiler that’s at least five years old.
Some households qualify automatically, while others must also meet other requirements.
You May Automatically Qualify for a Boiler Grant If You Receive:
- Child tax credits (household income of less than £16,010 per year)
- Pension credit
You May Also Qualify for a Grant If You Receive:
- Working tax credit
- Income related employment and support allowance
- Income support
- Universal credit
- Income based jobseeker’s allowance
